The brand that came out of this story wasn’t the cheapest one. It was the one that matched the job. The fundamentals haven’t changed—know the work before you buy the tool. But the execution now has more choices, more spec sheets, and more places to make the wrong call.

I don’t need to love every tool I order. I need the person using it to trust it. That’s the actual spec.
